TO THOSE OF YOU (JUDE) WHO HAVEN'T SEEN LABYRINTH: this is a movie that pretty much everyone has to see. I saw it for the first time when i was 7 or 8, but i re-watched it last night and i still enjoy it at age 16 :) it has David Bowie in it!!!!!
I would go on a more extensive rant about this movie, but it is allergy season and i am feeling tired :P but i think ive made my point.

ok so this song is by CCR and its about getting drafted during the vietnam war and how rich kids never ever got drafted because college kids never got drafted and the only people who could afford to go to college were rich kids. Also, this song was recorded in 1969, and the lead singer of CCR, John Fogerty, is STILL touring and recording music and stuff. I'm into older music, but the sucky thing about that is you can never see the bands you like in concert if they're all senile or dead. Or even if the bands still together and a few key members have died (Queen without Freddie Mercury, The Dead without Jerry, etc.) then it just doesnt feel the same...

I know I JUST said i like old music and this is an extremely new song, I still like it :) I like Bruno Mars (except for that "I would catch a grenade for you" song... too co-dependent for my taste... but i like the rest of his songs) and one day I was waking up and I really didn't feel like getting out of bed and this song was the first song i heard which made me happy and like "OMG the radio read my mind!" Okay now THIS is something I FREAKED OUt over because it is combining two of my favorite artists ever, Elvis Costello and Billie Joe Armstrong! Yes Elvis Costello is like 57 now but he's still the freaking bomb! This is the two of them singing "alison" by Elvis Costello.
okay, now who doesn't love maroon 5? I mean seriously, even the biggest music snobs I know love maroon 5. Though this music video is pretty boring because the band is just standing there playing the song, its still a good song. I won't go home without you:

-painted my toenails
-deleted spam from my email
-put a temporary purple streak in my hair
-looked up ways to fix your skin after a bad breakout, which hasnt happened to me since middle school until now, which sucks (apparently tea tree oil is really good for your skin)
-looked up the effects tea tree oil has on cats after my new kitten started trying to lick my face
-had an almost-heart attack when i read that it can be fatal to cats, until i got to the part where its perfectly safe if its diluted, which mine was. Also that its never been proven that it can be fatal to cats. But no more tea tree oil for me unless the cat is napping. And i will NOT let her come near my face while it is on.
-did some dishes (even though what i really need to do is laundry)
-bought my mom a mothers day present (which i planned to do anyway)
-got in a fight with the wannabe-hipster guy with a combover that sold me said mothers day present (because i wanted to buy this pen too that was the right color for this giant wasabi pea portrait that i want to do in pointillism. It's REALLY HARD to find a wasabi-colored gelly roll pen!!!!! anyway i was like 10 cents short of being able to afford the pen and so he made me take it off, and then tried to tell me that i was STILL short and i was like "you added wrong retard" but not in those words.... yeah. he was a dick)
-and watched like 5 million episodes of "desperate housewives" (which is actually a really good show)
...only to find out that his mom said he cant come over today :P So were gonna do it next weekend instead.
That scene is one of my favorites!
