I made a flower

I have way too much free time on my hands.

Can someone take me to Target and buy me more duct tape? Like ten rolls in various colors?

GOING CRAZY FROM TOO MUCH FREE TIME!!!!

I'm taking Unscripted II this coming quarter which I'm looking forward to (Unscripted I focused on improv but I hear Unscripted II does more with sketch scenes and stuff).
Until then, I have nothing to look forward to.

-Zoe Who has to babysit her little brother for most of spring break
-My friend with the hair is out of town until Sunday (we hung out on thursday for like three hours but it was way unsatisfying... at least me and Zoe had a sleepover)
-Chelsii Chaos switched schools so I have a different break than her.
-(insert the name of every single friend I have who goes to a different school here) also have a different break than me :P
-Austin and I NEVER have time to hang out... I'm not sure when his break is actually.
-Holden is in freaking colorado (as he has been for the past 4 years... get with the program.)
-All of my other friends from school either live way too far away or are going out of town or have plans pretty much every single day of break...

So I'm going a little crazy. My mom is sending me off to my grandma's house for two days on Wednesday just to get rid of me :P

I'm gonna go make a rose out of bright orange duct tape. Wish me luck.

I'M ON BREAK!!! ^.^

So spring break started today! (That is, today was the last day of school).

Here's my plans for the rest of the week:
-tonight, go back to the wonderful Zoe Who's house, where I was before but I ended up going home for a few hours while Zoe was at yoga... she should be here to get me in like twenty minutes.
-tomorrow, go to my friend-who-is-growing-his-big-fluffy-hair-back-out's house, which is always pleasant :)
-Friday, go help Chelsii make a GIANT collage on her bedroom wall!!! YESSS!!!!!!!!!
-saturday, i will give you a million guesses what i'm doing..... That's right! ROCKY HORROR!!!!!!! :D With zoe of course.

And then next week im just gonna wing it :) my friend with the hair is going out of town that week and zoe has to watch her brother pretty much every day, and chelsii has a different break than me because she switched schools, so i shall have to find other ways to fill up my time. I'm sure I'll think of something!!!!!!

Well I should go get ready to go back to zoe's... until next time!

Ack!!! Busy week.

So I was in that show all week :P

BUT ITS OVER NOW!!!!!
XD

.........

Anyways...

So last night I watched this Korean movie called "I'm a cyborg, but that's okay" and it was AWESOME!

WARNING: there are like two violent scenes, but shes just hallucinating and the violence doesn't actually happen, and theres one sex scene, but it's super short and shown from far away so you don't see anything...

So basically, its about this chick who thinks shes a cyborg, so she gets sent to a psych ward where she meets this super-hot guy whos antisocial and a kleptomaniac... yeah. its cute :)

Though the opening scene is a tad icky (she tries to "charge" herself in a way that is rather unpleasant...) but it gets quite good later on.

Here are some pictures:

-------------------------------------------

The other day we learned about the beat poets from the 40s and 50s in English. In History we learned the basic facts about them-that they sparked this total counterculture trend; that they were angsty, disillusioned emo kids who wore black, wrote poetry and did other such things; that sort of thing-but we never actually read any poetry, and we never discussed the actual POETS (except a brief description of Kerouac), we just talked about the wannabes who just wanted to freak out their parents and grandparents.

So we read poems by three of the most famous poets of that time. Letr me just say that Kerouac was a TOTAL letdown. And Burroughs SUCKS. I hated him. He kept repeating lines-Yeah, I got that the FIRST time I read it, no need to say it twice!

But Ginsberg...
Wow. He was freaking AMAZING.
(WARNING: I'm about to start swearing, as I tend to do when I feel strongly about something. If that sort of thing offends you, don't read on.)

He totally didn't bullshit like those other two-he didn't use dumb metaphors to get his point across, he didn't repeat lines like that dickhead Burroughs, and he just RANTED. It was like reading my own diary-you start out with an idea, and then ten pages later it's one a.m, you've demolished tons of junkfood and are counting the hours until you have to wake up, and you're reading over your little ten-page rant and thinking "this is madness. ... No, THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!!!!" and you know it's time to go to sleep.

Okay that made no sense, but if you were me you'd probably see what I'm talking about. (song reference).

We read snippets of his poem "America", and his message was quite clear and can be summed up in this one line:

Go fuck yourself with your atom bomb

But he talked about it A LOT to explain why he felt that way, and I was just like "wow" when I read it.

So I did a little research and here's what I learned about this guy: He was actually gay, and most importantly he was OPENLY gay in a time when homosexuality was something that you just didn't even talk about. Such as in the play "a streetcar named desire" by Tennessee Williams (whom I loathe with every bone in my body by the way), blanche caught her husband with another man then said some very heinous things to him, and he SHOT himself. That's how big of a deal it was to be gay back then-people would rather die than face the judgement they would surely recieve-and he was OPENLY gay. That takes some serious balls.

One of his poems "Howl" was read aloud at a poetry slam or something by some guy who later got arrested because the poem talks about sexual things which was apparently too obscene to be read aloud (puh-lease. I'm reading it right now and its so not that bad.) It's one of his most famous poems because it was so controversial. (I'm a BIG FAN of discussing controversial things! It's one of my favorite pastimes XD)

He felt very strongly about our right to free speech (well duh. thats one of the few good things about America).

When I saw the title "America" I was like "oh great. it's gonna be either patriotic or a major rant about the government. Not that I have anything against ranting about the government, but I hear that enough as it is. It's not a very original idea." And he did discuss the government, but he also talked about society a lot-now THAT is something worth ranting about. Society is one of my favorite things to rant about and to read rants about.

I could go on and on all day, but the point is Allan Ginsberg is freaking cool!

------------------------

Ok I'm gonna go finish reading "Howl" and ten listen to some AC/DC. My mom got pissed at me for singing "you shook me all night long" earlier. She was like "don't sing that it's inappropriate!" and I was like "half the stuff you say is inappropriate... -.-" and she was like "be respectful" and I was like "?"... so that was lame.

I wonder what Allan Ginsberg would do in that situation... Hmmm....

New catchphrase: WWAGD? (what would Allan Ginsberg do?)

Nothing against Jesus, but I like that one better, mostly because often the people who say things like "what would jesus do?" are obnoxious right-wingers, while the COOL Christians are the ones who read the part in the bible about him overturning the tax tables and says "YEAH! stick it to the man, Jesus!" (which I have done XD)

Okay I'm gonna go finish "Howl" before I pass out (again). I've been sleeping a lot lately...

Bye!

"I've been spending way too long checking my to gue in the mirror..."

That song is in my head :P

So yesterday I hung out with my friend who used to have fluffy hair, which was super fun :)

We couldn't go to his house though because his parents weren't home, so we kind of just wandered.

But when we went to caribou to get hot chocolate, I was paying and the total came out to $6.66. I FRESKED OUT and was like "uhmmm.... Here, let me buy these mints too..." the chick who was working there was like "I totally understand" but he made SO MUCH fun of me XD

Well whatever, I can't help the fact that Im paranoid :P

so my newest life goal is learn how to knit a pair of socks because I love both knitting and socks :). (which is how I learned that my friend knows how to knit!!!) I recently got back into knitting and am I. The process of knitting a very fuzzy white scarf for my friend Zoe Who :).

Uhmmmm... Highlights of my day so far:

-taking super-long nap for like three hours!!! :D

-doing all the dishes in my house.

-playing video games

-finding a half-eaten bag of Swedish fish (score!)

-and going to my grandmas house in... Oh crap four minutes!!!! :/

ACK! I gotta go :/
